Special Camp 2009-10
Instructions
I would like to inform you that the special camp of this year can be started from 19th December 2009. Camp should start before noon on the starting day and it should end only with the afternoon session on the closing day. The theme for the NSS Special Camping Programme 2009-10 has been announced by the Programme Advisor’s Cell, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India. The theme for this year is spread over five core areas given below
(1) Environment including preservation of natural resources and conservation of cultural/historical heritage;
(2) Health, public sanitation and personal hygiene;
(3) Rural development including project identification, programme formulation, implementation and evaluation;
(4) Education and literacy including legal awareness; and
(5) Emergency intervention including trauma care, initial counseling and data collection. In this regard, Principals/Programme Officers are requested to kindly choose one of the above five core areas and put concerted effort to achieve excellence in a particular area and draft an action plan.
